Scientology Tax Exempt? Look How Australia Addressed the Question in 2010

Scientology Tax Exempt?

It was summer of 2010, which in the upside down world of Australia, means that summertime is the coldest time of their year. Yes, Australians are upside down and topsy-turvy, but in July of 2010, one Senator Nick Xenophon was getting something exactly right.

He was using the power of his office to investigate the tax exempt status of the Church of Scientology in Australia.

For background, see his 2009 speech here:

Scientology: Nick Xenophon's Australian Senate Speech 2009 from Paul Gallagher on Vimeo.

Then see this summertime (July) 2010 report from the Australian news broadcast called ACA:

Here are two youtube playlists of the footage of the government hearings that they held on June 28th, 2010 and June 29th, respectively.

Scientology was a formidable foe 5 years ago.

Are they as formidable today?

Timing is everything.

And I think the timing is now coming around to our side.

Tick Tock, David Miscavige.
