Steven Hassan is a self-promoting “cult expert” who evangelizes the anticult movement ideology to ex members of minority religions. Back in the 1970’s, he was recruited into the Moonies from a staunch Jewish family. They hired a deprogrammer to kidnap and “deprogram” him back into their Jewish belief system.
Steven decided to become an ‘expert’ on cults after that and has made his living scaring people about minority religions since.
