This blog post was originally written by Corey Andrews and is posted here for posterity.
Because I’m not going anywhere.
This is the only known public acknowledgement of Kyle Brennan by Mike Rinder and Leah Remini.
Corey Andrews is a legend.
Reposted again today because everyone needs to see this.
Of all the Scientology tragedies that have occurred, Kyle Brennan’s story is without a doubt one of the most complex and overlooked.
There are many details about this case that deserve a much more thorough examination in order to have a complete picture of events.
Leah Remini and Mike Rinder used to have my full and unconditional support. I thought of them as heroes fighting the good fight to put an end to David Miscavige’s tyrannical rule over the Church of Scientology.
What I ended up seeing amongst these “top critics” is that they often avoid talking about anything that could lead to criminal indictments, or the exposure of actual criminal activities being carried out by Scientology’s Office of Special Affairs (OSA).
3 Seasons of a television show, and never once mentioning the name Kyle Brennan.
Asking Leah Remini And Mike Rinder The Difficult Questions About Kyle Brennan
Questions need answering, and people have a right to ask those questions in pursuit of the truth.
Presenting themselves as the critics doing the most damage to Scientology and David Miscavige on one hand, while avoiding serious subjects such as the death and highly likely murder of Kyle Brennan, Leah Remini and Mike Rinder have danced their way around answering any difficult questions.
When it comes down to exposing actual crimes instead of moral outrages, they throw their hands up in the air and waiver any critical questioning while accusing the questioner of being an attacker, or an OSA spy.
Why Do Leah Remini And Mike Rinder Choose To Ignore Kyle Brennan?
Voicing my concerns on Twitter, I wrote two posts and tagged both Leah & Mike, hoping to get some questions addressed.
It deeply saddens me that Leah Remini & Mike Rinder have distanced themselves from Kyle Brennan and his mother Victoria. Never do they show her their support. They don’t even FOLLOW her on Twitter. Why is this story buried by Scientology and the Aftermath? Who killed Kyle Brennan?
When people are more loyal to each other than to the truth itself, it allows for stories like Kyle Brennan’s to be brushed under the rug. Questions need to be asked, because this isn’t over until Victoria gets real answers.
Leah Remini Cannot Even Say Kyle Brennan’s Name
“I am deeply offended that you would tweet that publicly. Mike and I are not in control of all things, there are many things you do not know and I don’t think I need to explain myself and won’t. But I am so sick of the attacks from those who are supposed to be on the same page, thank God, there aren’t many of you. Should I now look through who you follow and don’t, and then call you out publicly? You are free to tell this story, to anyone to get his story out there. So if the Tampa bay times doesn’t tell it, will you then attack them for ignoring this story? And act as OSA does and start to do what they do when a story isn’t being told, or a story doesn’t get told as you would want? It’s very easy to sit to back and attack everyone . But why don’t you pick up a camera and tell the story yourself? Instead of publicly attacking those who are trying . We are not perfect, but we are trying . I will soon unfollow you because I’m not going to put up with this bullshit that is focused on us , rather than the victims of Scientology ,which is where your energy should be, with the victims”
Responding to what I wrote in the 2 tweets above, Leah Remini messages me backchannel, coldly expressing to God that she is thankful there aren’t many people like me, and ended by saying that my energies should be placed with the victims of Scientology.
Okay. So who is Kyle Brennan then, if not a victim of Scientology?
I followed up her message with a public response.
Confronting Leah Remini About Kyle Brennan
According to Leah Remini, my energies should be with the victims of Scientology. This was her Direct Message to me in response to my questions about Kyle Brennan, whom according to her isn’t a victim…
Kyle’s story can prove criminality & get David Miscavige into REAL trouble.
Why Didn’t Kyle Brennan Get An Episode Of Scientology And The Aftermath?
“I never said Kyle wasn’t a victim. Again insulted that you would even suggest that I would ever say such a thing. So, I will say it again. You should focus on getting Kyle’s story out there instead of attacking people who may have tried to tell this story. Is that clear? Who to attack is Scientology, those involved in contributing to his death. And again, that is Scientology and Scientologists who are still in and covering up what they did that contributed to his death”
Why did Kyle not get an episode of Scientology and the Aftermath? I would think that this would be episode 1 of season 1. Why wasn’t it?
Pressing the issue, I ask Leah for further clarification on why Kyle Brennan didn’t get an episode of Scientology and the Aftermath.
Mike Rinder Intercepts My Question To Leah Remini With A Sociopathic Putdown
“Think you are entitled to an answer just because you ask? Then: Why haven’t you done a show yourself? Clearly you’re an expert on how it’s done — legal clearance, budget, S&P, demos, NW demands, crew and shooting schedules etc. I would think you would have aired it by now?”
I guess I don’t have the ****ing rank, huh Mike?
Ironic how Leah Remini claims she began to wake up from Scientology’s world when she was told she didn’t have the rank to ask about Shelly Miscavige’s whereabouts.
Now, having seen how these people operate, I’ve woken up from anti-Scientology’s world, and it started with critical questioning.
Mike Rinder, Former Head Of The Office Of Special Affairs, Stays True To His Sea Org Colors
“What? No answer to my question on your show? Clearly you don’t know how tv works. It’s not like putting a video on YouTube. For starters a case lost in the Appeals court on the very allegations u think should be aired is a legal dept no brainer. Go ahead give it a try…”
Kyle Brennan’s False Knowledge Report Used As A Prop For Scientology And The Aftermath
Why on Earth would they use Kyle Brennan’s false “Knowledge Report” for their television show?
Victoria Britton was interviewed on camera for Scientology and the Aftermath, signed a non-disclosure agreement, and then they simply decided not to go with her.
Mike Rinder Tells Me To Take A Breather
“I guess you haven’t read either of the cases. The Appeals court in Headley’s said if they had made claims for false imprisonment etc they may not have ruled as they did. That supported what they said on tv. Take a breather buddy.”
Reposted again today because everyone needs to see this.
I know that lots of people have lots of respect for Leah Remini, but I know too much for that.
Every time I see her attempt at intimidating Corey Andrews back channel on Twitter, by saying “I’m deeply offended….” and watch Corey not be fooled by any of those elitist diva tactics that worked so well for her at the Celebrity Center in LA, I cheer. I know those CelebrAuthoritarian tactics because I was at the Celebrity Center, too.
And the celebrity-fascist attitude Leah has here makes me fkn sick.
I have so much respect for Corey Andrews, who was just an upright young Christian man, who was horrified by the stories he was told about Scientology, and who worked tirelessly behind the scenes with these snakes long enough to see their reptile patterns.
Once he saw those patterns, he came out from under them – turned around – and started laying them out.
He called them out exactly where they needed to be called out.
Dude’s a legend, and a hero, to me.
