Laughing Uncontrollably: Andy Nolch on Chris Shelton

I actually haven’t see this whole thing yet. Too busy this morning. But I saw about 5 minutes of Andy Nolch on Chris Shelton and I am laughing my ass off.

Maybe it’s a little mean. I don’t go in for Andy Nolch’s Scientology Tone Scale interpretation of Chris Shelton, or anybody else really, but my god it’s funny.

I dare you to watch it and not laugh.

POST SCRIPT: As has been pointed out below, this video totally violates the ACO on “no personal attacks”. So you have been warned that I am a total hypocrite when it comes to my own policy here at AlanzosBlog. But you must remember my escape hatch in that policy: “…unless I like you, or a I like what you say, and/or I can use what you write for my own purposes to make an example of you, or to make a brash and authoritarian statement of some kind.”

So I’m not a hypocrite!

The policy even says so.

Oh Al you are truly bad! Gonna be sent to Exes and Critics purgatory along with this Andy fella! Be purged of your sins against Saint Chris! Oh wait….I’m sure he wouldn’t want to be called “Saint”. Too religulous.

Anyway, Lord Helluvahoax will oversee your purgation until purity has been attained. Thou shalt learn to be a part of the tribe or be expunged before your peers!!

(It is very funny. Especially about two thirds in when he starts to lose it and crack up. Lol…)

I don’t know who Andy Nolch is, or why he has such a chubby for Chris Shelton.

Yes, Chris can be a little hard to take. He can be a bit sanctimonious with the atheist point of view, but I think he is a voice that has offered valuable contributions to the post-Scientology discussion.

Alanzo, if you don’t allow commenters to make personal attacks or ad hominem comments, why did you post this? I get it that you can post anything you want as it is your blog, but it does seem to contradict the ACO PL against personal attacks, which I am happy you implemented and agree that it’s a good policy to increase the likelihood that the exchange of ideas remains civil.

The part about Chris being in a woman’s valence was particularly mean spirited.

Not knowing anything about Andy Nolch other than this video, it would appear Andy is an independent scientologist who follows Alex Jones. And that Chris has gotten Andy’s panties in such a bunch, he spent the effort to make this video, which is out of the Scientology playbook of a dead-agent style attack of a person without taking up what they actually said and countering it with logical arguments.

Yeah the 1.1 effeminate reference was too much. In bad taste in other words.

I know the fact that most of the vid made me laugh shows that I’m still a sick fuck overall. I need a purging too. Move over Alanzo.

You were right the first time, you are a hypocrite. Welcome to the Bunker, you are creating the thing you criticize.

I was once like Andy.

I think the truth is what I said on ESM:

“Hubbard said contagion of abberation was thru engrams.

I think contagion of abberation is thru ideas presented by the author of his idea. For example the idea that the earth was flat. It took a long time for that idea to be proved false. One has to remember that, that idea of of the earth being flat, why there was no instant communication at the time, it took a long time for people to think about about it and question it and compare notes.”

To Andy,

when you make it to “clear”, please tell us of your success story, and when you make it to “OT8” please tell us if your success story.

Well I checked out this guy’s YouTube channel and……..oh my! He’s quite “special” isn’t he?

I watched his video in which he defends the Xenu story. As in it could be valid.

Okee Dokie. Whatever floats his boat I guess. I’ll have to say that Chris Shelton is indeed far more rational than this dude Andy.

Not on some subjects, he’s not. He should never try to explain how there really *aren’t* any long-running conspiracies, for example. He comes off sounding about as logical as someone trying to defend the Xenu cosmology, or a scientologist trying to defend the ‘hole’ as really only being some guy trying to help some other guys with their problems.

Ick.

Yes that “instructional video” on conspiracy theories was so full of sophistry and, well, holes that it was hard to watch it all without barfing. Of course their are wild and untrue conspiracy theories. But there are also quite provable legitimate conspiracy facts as well. But he strongly inferred that if you believe any of them then you need “help and recover”.

When Chris sticks to strictly subjects on Scientology he does quite well in his vids. But when he starts to lecture about wider range subjects he doesn’t. He has a tendency to lecture with an air of condescension, even though his personality is very warm and friendly. If he would come across with more of a “hey guys this is what I’m presently thinking on this subject” approach, it would be better. And then perhaps request feedback and discussion. But instead he lectures as though he has it all figured out and if you disagree then you need to do “more growing” in your post cult recovery. That’s the condescending aspect of his lectures.

Yes. Agreed, LS. Question – I am talking about the video he made about Sea Org Recruitment techniques, is that the same one you are talking about? If not, could you give me the link to what you watched? I’d like to see it.

Oh! Thank you. Wow. I’m glad you reminded me, I had seen that one but totally forgot about it. I was talking about this one, which had some real doozies in it.
